High School Fall Leadership Conference

The High School Fall Leadership Conference is the premier professional development opportunity for High School SkillsUSA students and Advisors. This conference is open to all students, advisors and administrators enrolled in High School Career-Technical programs affiliated with SkillsUSA.

Registration Changes this year

This year due to construction at the Hyatt Regency we have had to move the conference to the Greater Columbus Convention Center. With this move we will not be reserving hotels as part of the conference package. It is encouraged that schools consider staying in hotels in the Convention Center area. SkillsUSA Ohio will provide parking passes in the East lot this year as part of the registration fee.

Tentative Agenda 

Pre-Conference Exhibits and Registration 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Pre-Conference Exhibits and National Guard Displays will be setup outside the E Hall.  Schools should register in the Exhibit Area outside E Hall .

 

 Thursday Opening General Session - 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm - E-Hall

This year's Opening session will feature the 2016-17 SkillsUSA Ohio State Officer Team as they kick-off our Conference. Keynote speaker will be SkillsUSA Ohio State Director Mike Cowles

 

Thursday Professional Development Sessions - 1:30 - 4:00 pm - E-POD Breakout Rooms

Students and Advisors will have the opportunity to participate in breakout sessions tailored to their assigned areas. Each student team will participate in a SkillsUSA 101 session, an Employability Skills Session sponsored by Industry and a orientation/training for Friday's assigned activities. Advisors will have their own breakout sessions.

 

Thursday Evening - E-Hall

Join Us as we celebrate our Summer Leadership Camp Statesmen and National Medalists.  We will also preview the exciting preview 2017 SkillsUSA State Championship and here from Motivational Speaker George Dare. The Fall Champions Dance will follow.

 

Friday Morning Chapter Officer Sessions

 

Chapter Officers are invited to participate in the Local Officer Training and complete their Local Officer Statesmans Award.  It is encouraged that schools participating in Local Officer Training bring at least four local officers.

 

Regional Delegate Assembly

 

Each Region will hold its annual Delegate Assembly on Friday morning at 8:00 am.  All Regional Officer Candidates must attend orientation during the specified time on Thursday Afternoon. Voting Delegates are encouraged to participate in the Voting Delegate Orientation.
